Glass Fibers

Incorporation of glass fibers in polymers is either referred to as glass reinforced or glass filled polymer. The addition of glass fiber leads to an increase in strength over unfilled base polymers.  In general, glass reinforced polymer compounds are used in structural components that require higher levels of stiffness, strength and heat resistance and are predominantly used in a number of Automotive, Appliance and Furniture applications.
